Join us in creating opportunities that help young people thrive! We’re looking for an enthusiastic Youth Worker to support and empower young people aged 10-16. This role focuses on social education, mentoring, and engagement through a variety of activities, ensuring young people feel supported, included, and inspired.

Location: Chantry Academy
Contract:Permanent, Part-Time
Hours:Monday to Friday,14:00pm-20:00pm, (30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) – Flexible working patterns/hours can be discussed during the interview.
Salary:ALT Grade G points 20-24 – £24,372.97-£27,053.51 – Annually Actual

Responsibilities include:
- Engaging directly with young people, supporting their development and social skills.
- Creating and leading youth activities outside of school hours.
- Providing a safe and welcoming environment for young people to learn, grow, and socialise.
- Advocating for young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Building strong relationships with local schools and community organisations to enhance youth opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Level 3 Qualification in Youth Work (or relevant experience).
- Experience working with young people in a youth work, mentoring, or support role.
- Understanding of youth-related challenges and the ability to offer guidance and support.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
- A positive, energetic, and proactive approach to engaging young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunities.
