Status: 29.6 hours per week (4 days), Fixed Term until 11th October 2025

Overview

Reaseheath College is one of the premier land-based Colleges located in South Cheshire with an enviable reputation for quality and partnerships with industry.  The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities. Serving around 7500 students, in delivering further and higher education courses, the College has grown significantly over recent years and has further ambitious plans for growth and development to serve the local and national communities.

 

Part of this ongoing development has included the development of a leading Veterinary Nursing Training centre serving practices from several surrounding counties. The college has invested significantly in staff and physical resource in the area and is proud to operate within a registered OSCE training centre on site amongst other facilities including a Medical clinical skills suite, Surgical Clinical skills suite, imaging room, diagnostic Lab and access to a significant range of live animal species in a full licenced onsite Zoological collection.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional, well organised individual to support the highly skilled Veterinary Nursing team to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and success within their training practices whilst remaining compliant with RCVS requirements.

Key responsibilities:

·         Work closely with a wide range of staff to support both existing and new training practices to meet the needs of the developing curriculum and changing market.

·         Assess, examine and support students and candidates using a variety of methods.

·         Develop links and build relationships with industry and associated stakeholders in order to enhance the reputation of the College.

·         Provide Course Management to one or more student groups.

·         Delivers teaching sessions to a consistently good/outstanding standard.

 

The successful candidate will have:

·         Minimum Level 4 qualification for Further Education role.

·         Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.

·         Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.

·         Recognised Teaching Qualification (or be willing to work towards one).

·         A period of relevant and successful time within the industry.
