Bridgwater & Taunton College (BTC) Residential provision provides accommodation for students aged 16+ studying across any of our three campuses. The College’s primary student accommodation is based at the Cannington campus and consists of 218 beds. The College is currently developing an exciting accommodation opportunity at our Taunton campuses’ existing provision. The residential provision was awarded Ofsted Outstanding following inspection in 2022.

BTC are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Accommodation Manager to provide support to the Accommodation Team and individuals accommodated through the College. A key element of the role will be to provide outstanding safeguarding support to all students in residential accommodation, and lead the Accommodation Team to manage student behaviour effectively.

This role will deputise for the Accommodation Manager to ensure that all students receive a consistent level of welfare support.

A key element of the role is to monitor the welfare and safety of the residential students, promoting a culture of health and safety compliance and ensure all procedures are being followed correctly, and will include coordinating and monitoring residential learners’ engagement and wellbeing during the evenings and overnight. An essential requirement of the role is to be present on campus during on-call shifts.

A two-bedroom, self-contained flat at a subsidised rate is available if desired.
