💼 Salary: Up to £36,878 (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications)

🕒 Hours: 37 hours per week

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Maths (Pathways) to join our Foundation Learning department at The Bedford College Group. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of learners who need it most—delivering inclusive, engaging, and empowering education.

About the Role

As a Lecturer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the success of our students by:

  • Preparing, delivering, and assessing Maths courses tailored to learners with SEND.
  • Creating inclusive and engaging learning environments.
  • Supporting students’ academic and personal development.
  • Contributing to curriculum design and development.
  • Participating in marketing, promotion, and student recruitment activities.

Qualified lecturers will also lead curriculum development, mentor new staff, and collaborate with Teaching and Learning Coaches.

About you:

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree or Level 5+ qualification in Maths.
  • GCSEs (grades A–C or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Willingness to achieve a Certificate in Education/PGCE if not already held.

Experience:

  • Teaching and assessing at Level 2 and above.
  • Supporting students with Learning Difficulties/Disabilities.
  • Working with learners from diverse backgrounds.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement.
