Bookmark Education is looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner SEN schools in Mansfield (NG19). Offering a competitive daily rate of £86 – £95, this role is available to start immediately, with flexible full-time and part-time options to suit your schedule.

This is an exciting opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges in a school catering to students aged 3-11 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a Nurturing Learning Environment: Support pupils across a wide age range, helping them engage with their lessons and achieve their academic goals.
- Provide Tailored Support: Work closely with small groups and individual students, addressing their unique needs and supporting their learning journey.
- Support Diverse Needs: Assist students with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech & Language challenges, Visual & Hearing Impairments, Severe Learning Difficulties, ensuring each day is as rewarding as it is varied.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work in partnership with teachers and SENCOs to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies for maximum impact.
- Promote Positive Behaviour: Support children in managing behavioural challenges, building their confidence, social skills, and resilience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: A degree or a Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school or educational setting is essential, especially with SEN students.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and creativity are key, as every child’s needs and learning styles are unique.
- Relationship Building: The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and colleagues is a must.
