Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer for our Education & Early Years department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing childcare programmes, managing a group of students, and contributing to course management and planning activities.

What we’re looking for:

Relevant Education & Childcare qualification.

Minimum grade C/4 GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Experience working with children and young people in early years and education settings.

Innovative and competent in utilising resources to create a stimulating learning environment.

Effective in managing behaviour and motivating students.

Excellent team-working, communication, and organisational skills.

General Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and tutorials on a range of courses within Education & Early Years.

Implement innovative teaching techniques, including new technologies, to promote equality and diversity.

Manage student morale and discipline, ensuring an appropriate learning environment.

Accurately record and report data, including student progress.

Maintain teaching files and ensure quality assurance procedures are met.

Keep up to date with academic and vocational subjects, and maintain links with industry.

Support safeguarding and equality and diversity initiatives.

Liaise with course teams, student support teams, and parents/carers.

Cover classes for absent colleagues when necessary.

Attend parents’ evenings and promotional activities, including occasional evenings.
