Teacher of Science and PE

Job Details
We are looking for an experienced and successful teacher who has the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 & 4, ideally with a background within an SEMH school. We are looking for a Science and PE specialist who is able to deliver to classes across KS3 and KS4. As well as teaching Science and PE, we require all our teachers to be tutors for a class, likely to be KS4, and also to have a flexible approach. They should also be able to teach PSHE should it be required. The ideal candidate will bring with them a range of teaching expertise and interests that can be offered to our students to give them an enriched curriculum.

This means you will enjoy plenty of autonomy and wide-ranging opportunities to shape the way we work.
We are looking for a teacher with:
• A good knowledge of SEMH education and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions / Learning difficulties & other special needs e.g. an understanding of trauma and attachment
• Excellent knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Science and PE curricula
• Experience with the use of assessment data and implementing strategies for raising achievement of pupils with SEMH
• A commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team to actively promote inclusion and ensure the safeguarding of all pupils
• Experience of managing HLTAs and/or LSAs in the classroom
