Job Details
Carshalton & Merton Colleges are now on the lookout for a Head of College Administration & Exams to work as part of the College’s Senior Management Administration Team which will made up of a team of administrative and support staff. Specifically, you will manage and coordinate a team of Administrators and provide operational and administrative support to the College’s Senior Management Team, enabling the team to effectively and efficiently monitor and support the College’s curriculum provision.
You will lead on and coordinate the implementation of key College functions such as attendance management and student disciplinary procedures. You will design and embed customer facing systems and processes to support curriculum offices, managers and teachers, and work with Corporate Services and across the Group to ensure curriculum data is collated and reported on in an efficient and timely manner. You will support tasks such as enrolment, admissions, Learner Voice consultation activities and Student Council meetings and carry out Professional Development Reviews and CPD/training on College policies, processes and procedures.
This role requires someone who has excellent interpersonal skills – someone who is highly motivated, has a keen attention to detail and can be a role model to school administrative teams. With a Level 2 ITQ qualification as a minimum, you will have a previous experience of working in an educational environment and have a good understanding of College business processes, and how these can be improved to place the learner at the heart of the faculty work. You will have a sound knowledge of College processes and procedures related to students, such as IAG, enrolment and admissions, and understand the curriculum, timetabling and rooming requirements for a College. Experience of leading a team, supervising the work of others is essential.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email and be willing to undertake further training in the use of internal management and finance systems such as our EBS system.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is implemented in the new academic year.
