Working Hours: 18.5 hours per week

SGS have an exciting role for a Lecturer at our Stroud campus!

As part of a highly successful and growing department based at the Stroud Campus, you will work with Entry 3 (14-18year olds) students supporting them back into Education through a variety of enterprise training courses.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess learners (Entry 3 14-18year olds) and their assignments/portfolios as required
  • Work with learners to set academic targets and to review these throughout the year
  • To implement College policies such as the behaviour policy and record any incidents
  • Liaise with the Learner Support team, to communicate any issues or requirements that may arise, thus allowing timely intervention, support, adaptation or corrective action.
  • To undertake all forms of pedagogic work which may include classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses and student placements.
  • To ensure the associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking is undertaken.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • GCSE English Language and Maths or Level 2
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve
  • Recent and relevant industry experience
  • IT Literate (especially proficient in the use of Excel and Word)
