- Salary: £22,667 – £24,047 per annum
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Weeks: 52 weeks per year (12 months Maternity Cover)
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Job Coach to join our Foundation Learning Department supporting learners with SEND to gain the skills they need for employment.
You will be required to:
- Take referrals from people interested in supported employment and assess their preferences, levels of ability and support needs with regard to work experience and employment in line with study programme requirements.
- Liaise with local employers and organisations to secure suitable placements.
- Provide on-the-job support to students in integrated work settings to encourage them to become competent and independent using assistive devices and systematic instruction to teach tasks where needed.
- Submit all paperwork as required by the college and funding agencies, including the maintenance of tracking documentation to monitor student progress and achievement.
As a Job Coach, you will confidently support our learners both in and out of the classroom, to develop the skills and knowledge that they need to enter the world of work. Working with local employers, you will source exciting work placement opportunities and support the learners to demonstrate that they can complete tasks and meet the expectations of the employer. This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
