Salary: £28,061 – £29,919 pro rata per annum. Plus generous benefit including:

About the role
Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding role where you could be supporting our tutors to develop the skills and professional behaviours of our students and apprentices, and help grow our future engineering workforce?
We are seeking a multi-skilled engineer who can be adaptable, and has confidence with the majority of tools/equipment/processes within engineering workshop environments, however would encourage applicants from any of these disciplines :- Fabrication and Welding, Mechanical Engineering (e.g. fitting, filing, machining, CNC Lathe/Milling/Laser)), Design Technology (3D workshop) etc. Someone who is positive, encouraging, and has patience. Supporting tutors both in their practical lesson delivery and preparing the environment ready for learning, someone who is keen to share their skills and knowledge.
This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, supporting tutors, students and apprentices across our Level 2 & 3 programmes, including Performing Engineering Operations, Diploma in Engineering & Technology, various Apprenticeships, T level etc. as relevant.
Although this contract is part time at 0.5, there are further PTVH hours available to make the role full time.
About the Person
You may be an experienced Engineering/DT technician or learning assistant in the education sector already, however if not, we would certainly encourage applications from candidates with practical experience in the fabrication & welding, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering sectors.
You should have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline, or (and) relevant engineering/manufacturing/fabrication & welding industry standard qualifications and experience at Level 3 as a minimum.
