HOURS: 37 hours a week, term time + 1 week

The Academy

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy is an oversubscribed Secondary School in the Black Country. The Academy opened its doors in September 2019 with 175 students and has continued to grow each year and had its first year of being at full capacity with 805 students in 2023.

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy is committed to and inclusive education for all students at every ability and equipping students for the future through teaching them relevant and cutting-edge skills for the era in which they live. Most importantly we believe that every student should be safe, happy, ambitious for themselves and respectful of all.

The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team of highly professional staff who have a broad and extensive skill set, and who continue to drive improvements in supporting students to overcome behaviour challenges and to maximise the opportunities for learning within the school. Experience of working in a school is not a prerequisite for success in the role.

As part of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, we offer progression and opportunities at all levels, and a successful candidate can expect to be developed into the best practitioner they can be.

  • To challenge, motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential and help them overcome any barriers to learning, aiming to support all children to successfully reintegrate from the seclusion area to the main academy.
