Could you shape specialist provision across a dynamic and mission-focused multi-academy trust?

Discovery is an innovative, high performing and purpose driven multi-academy trust working across the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland area. Across our growing family of 18 schools, we empower children and colleagues to realise their full potential and experience limitless learning.

Being part of Discovery means playing your part, within an organisation that makes a lasting difference; a place where you can use your initiative, co-create with brilliant people – and be yourself.

Our parents, children and wider learning communities have confidence in how we work and the decisions we make; that we’re genuinely inclusive and act with integrity and respect. These values are not just words. They drive what we do and underpin every action we take. We’re relentless in our pursuit to remove barriers to learning and are deeply committed to ensuring all leaders across our trust are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to meet the needs of all children. Which is where you come in.

As our new Director of Specialist Provision, you will be responsible for leading education and learning strategies across all special schools, whilst supporting leadership teams trust-wide to secure high-quality outcomes for all. Through this work you will help design, build and develop our ‘One Trust… One Team’ culture – securing consistent delivery of our organisational vision, values and aims.  You’ll have a variety of assets to support you on this journey, including a wealth of specialist expertise across three outstanding special schools – and dedicated services including our Educational Psychology within Communities (EPIC) and The Discovery Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) teams.

Your experience might have been gained from leading specialist provision or supporting and directing SEND improvement across a trust or LA setting. Regardless, you’ll bring the requisite skills and a relentless commitment to support all children through a rapidly evolving landscape.

Discovery Trust employ a diverse range of highly talented people to co-construct the very best places to learn, with innovative solutions to ensure all children achieve. If you want to make a lasting difference, get in touch to learn more.
