Are you passionate about shaping the future of education in construction and engineering? Coleg Cambria is looking for an inspiring and dedicated Assistant Principal to lead our innovative programmes at our Deeside campus. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a forward-thinking, people focused college, driving excellence in education and industry engagement.
Why This Role is Exciting:
- Lead and Innovate: Oversee and enhance our Construction and Engineering curriculum, leading a dynamic team of over 50 dedicated professionals.
- Growth and Development: With over 700 learners enrolled in FE/HE/WBL and school programs, you’ll play a pivotal role in their academic and professional growth.
- Strategic Impact: Work closely with the Vice Principal (Institute of Technology) and Assistant Principal of our Bersham Road campus to translate strategic goals into operational successes, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Leadership: Drive curriculum development, delivery, and monitoring to meet diverse learner needs.
- Team Management: Inspire and manage staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Learner Support: Ensure outstanding support for learners, handling pastoral care and disciplinary matters with empathy and professionalism.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with industry stakeholders, enhancing opportunities for learners and staff.
- Quality Assurance: Lead quality initiatives, including internal verification and self-assessment, to maintain high standards.
What We’re Looking For, Essential Requirements:
- Educational Background: Degree in a relevant specialist area.
- Leadership Experience: Proven record of successful leadership in an educational or equivalent environment, with a minimum of two years of outstanding teaching and learning delivery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging a wide range of audiences.
- Strategic Relationships: High level of confidence and interpersonal skill to build and maintain key strategic relationships.
- Knowledge and Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment processes. We would particularly welcome experience in the construction industry
Preferred Candidate:
