We have an exciting opportunity for an Assessor in Engineering to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Poole Campus. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £38,879 per annum.

About the role:
As our Assessor in Engineering, you will ensure that The College’s provision of work-based evidence in this area are administered and delivered according to the standards laid down by the awarding bodies and the College.
You will also ensure that candidates achieve within predetermined timeframes, by implementing all the necessary actions during the term of the program.
Responsibilities as our Assessor in Engineering will include:
- To ensure that employers/candidates who wish to embark onto Engineering Apprenticeship programs have all the guidance and resources made available to them to successfully achieve their goal.
- To organise and carry out on-site visits with candidates, in order to perform assessments using recognised assessment methods.
- To record assessment decisions and give feedback to candidates, and if necessary, arrange for support activities to take place.
- To work closely with the Internal and External stakeholders to ensure tat the quality of work-based assessment meets the standards required by the awarding bodies, and The College.
- Develop realistic plans for learning and assessment with the candidates and update these as necessary.
- Plan the assessment process with candidates and other their respective employer mentor.
- Support candidates in meeting the Awarding Body assessment requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours).
- Review the candidate’s level of competence and identify what requirements are needed in order to become fully competent. As our Assessor in Engineering, you’ll ideally have:
Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
Assessor Qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months
A level 3 qualification in Engineering Technology
Minimum of 5 years recent industrial experience relevant to the subject area
Competency in Microsoft Office applications
A clean driving licence and have the use of own vehicle to carry out visits
The ability to analyse and solve problems
