Location: Enfield, with requirement to travel throughout Greater London
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours per week: 36 hours
Salary: £31,973-£34,734pa inclusive of London Weighting

Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment.  As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Student Recruitment Officer.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in raising awareness of Capel Manor College and attracting a diverse pool of applicants, through innovative and engaging on and off-campus recruitment events and activities for students in year 9, 10 and 11.

The role will support the delivery of the College’s annual school liaison programme across Greater London with partner, feeder and local schools as well as the wider community.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a confident and motivated individual to enhance the College’s school outreach and engagement, and support growth in student numbers.

To succeed in this role you will have experience in building relationships with students, parents and educational partners, strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative and beautiful land-based environment.

In order to be considered for the position, an application form must be completed.  CVs will not be accepted.  For further details and to apply, please visit the job vacancies section on the Capel Manor College website.

Please note that the College does not have a sponsorship licence.  We are therefore unable to consider applicants who do not have the right to work in the UK.

We reserve the right to close a position once sufficient suitable applications have been received to form a short list.  Early application is therefore encouraged.

What’s in it for you?

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including generous annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension Scheme for Lecturing roles and Local Government Pension Scheme for Support roles), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Manor Gardens.

Capel Manor College is committed to creating and promoting an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce that enables those working at the College to achieve their full potential. We are committed to achieving a truly representative workforce and therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of our students and expect everybody working for the College to share this commitment. We actively seek DBS clearance checks for applications of employment as part of our safeguarding procedures.
