Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Brent Start Hillside Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

The post is responsible for leading, developing and maintaining a dynamic management information service (MIS) that provides comprehensive, relevant and timely information to support performance monitoring and management decision-making.

It involves liaising with external stakeholders, including awarding organisations, funding bodies and delivery partners, ensuring data and information is accurately prepared and submitted in a timely way.

Additionally, as the Funding and Information Services Manager you will lead and manage the service’s specialist ICT and data administration staff and to lead the service’s Exams administration to ensure JCQ compliance.

The Person
  • You will bring positivity, energy, enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to navigate through competing priorities to achieve great outcomes for Brent Start and its learners. You should be a good team player and able to develop and foster excellent relationships with our partners and stakeholders.
  • You will have excellent data management experience and strong experience developing practical, innovative approaches to performance management and performance improvement.
  • You will have expert IT skills, with the ability to use a wide range of IT software and systems including Microsoft applications and management of MIS systems in the Further Education sector, ensuring that data security and confidentiality is maintained.
  • You will have experience of successfully managing examinations and accreditations systems.
  • You will possess strong communication and influencing skills to inform, consult and negotiate with a range of audiences in a straight-forward, articulate, sensitive and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.
  • You will be experienced at identifying, gathering, analysing data and making your insights accessible to the team through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables and reports and perform statistical analysis of data.
