Redbridge Institute of Adult Education is a local authority adult and community learning provider engaging around 4,000 part-time adult learners each year, 84% of whom are residents. The Institute is the only Ofsted “outstanding” local authority provider in London. (Ofsted May 2018).

About the Role:

We seek an exceptionally dynamic and innovative Programme Manager to lead our ESOL programmes. This role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in managing adult learning and a passion for making a significant impact through education.

As our Programme Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and monitoring a comprehensive range of ESOL courses, spanning from qualification-based to community learning initiatives. Your extensive sector knowledge will be crucial in developing a diverse program tailored to our varied learner demographics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and oversee a dynamic ESOL curriculum that includes non-regulated, regulated, and community-focused provisions.
• Collaborate with borough-wide stakeholders to develop enrichment programs that offer unparalleled experiences and opportunities for our learners.
• Lead, manage, and inspire a team of dedicated tutors, fostering an environment of excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Drive innovation in curriculum delivery to keep pace with the evolving needs of our learners and the broader educational landscape.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners across the community to enhance our program’s reach and impact.

About You:
• A passion for ESOL and a commitment to enhancing adult learning.
• Demonstrable success in a similar role, with experience in managing educational programs and teams.
• Extensive knowledge of the ESOL sector and the ability to develop comprehensive learning programs.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards excellence.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of building and maintaining effective partnerships.
• Innovative and strategic thinker, with a drive to promote advancements in teaching methodologies and curriculum development.
