We have cultivated an excellent external profile locally, establishing productive partnerships with high profile employers such as the Eden Project. The College now has no debt, a robust budget and has secured significant investment to improve its infrastructure, including a circa £40m new build at St Austell and

£12m of refurbishments at the Camborne Campus. The College works confidently as a quality provider of further & higher education in Cornwall & Devon.

About the Role

We are looking for an inspirational senior leader to come and join our brilliant College as Principal and Chief Executive.

This is a really exciting time to join The Cornwall College Group. The postholder will guide the Senior Leadership Team whilst the College continues to drive an ambitious curriculum to meet the needs of a fast-changing world and the communities which we serve.

Our new Principal and Chief Executive will further develop and embed our future strategy, continuing to deliver a high quality, sustainable College. Maintaining our focus on our key value of “Learner First” the successful applicant will continue to champion our current culture of high expectations and ongoing quality improvement, while prioritising an outstanding experience for all our learners.

They will also lead the continued development of stakeholder relationships and the establishment of the Group as a key partner in economic and social development. Creating a highly visible profile internally and externally, the postholder will champion the quest for ongoing excellence and continuous quality improvement. They will be an impactful ambassador, nurturing the College’s external relationships with employers, FE stakeholders and community partners.

We are seeking a strategic individual with a successful track record of senior leadership who will have the presence and credibility to inspire staff, learners and external partners. Applicants will be able to evidence significant success as a senior postholder in Further Education with the knowledge and ability to lead curriculum and quality improvements towards Outstanding. We are seeking an individual with a deep knowledge of Further Education which will inform their strategic decisions to develop and grow The Cornwall College Group.
