South Staffordshire College is looking to employ a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic full time Mechanical Engineering Lecturer; this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join this successful team and work within a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a committed and dedicated person with experience of working in the Engineering Industry to deliver Mechanical Engineering courses to NVQ Level 3 apprentices, Level 1 – 3 full time learners and L3 – 4 BTEC learners at South Staffordshire College’s Tamworth and Cannock campuses.

The successful applicant will be required to prepare, deliver and assess various aspects of Mechanical Engineering programmes for apprentices and full-time learners studying on Electrical Maintenance and Technical pathways.

The successful candidate will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification, or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed), together with a minimum level 4 qualification in a Mechanical or Engineering subject area.

You should have recent experience of the Mechanical Engineering industry, with experience of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and PLC. A knowledge of robotics will be beneficial. If you have an assessor and/or verifier award this would be considered advantageous.
