We are seeking a well-organised, capable and self-motivated individual to join our Careers team.

The Careers & Work Placement Officer will liaise with students, teaching staff and employers to arrange placements and ensure all necessary paperwork and pre work placement checks, including work placement risk assessments, are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Visiting employers to establish and maintain working relationships, seeking feedback and addressing and following up any issues is a vital part of this role and therefore it is essential that the successful candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Throughout the College year, The Careers Team organise several events, including Careers and Apprenticeship Fair, Higher Education Fair and Volunteering & Independent Placement (VIP) Days.

Given the varied nature of the role, the successful candidate must be approachable and confident and have a pro-active and flexible attitude to all tasks.

The successful candidate will be appointed to point 6 of the College’s Salary Structure for Support Staff, currently £23,162 p.a, for full time. Actual salary will be pro-rata to the hours and weeks worked.

The contract will be on a permanent basis, for 30 hours per week, working term time commencing as soon as the successful candidate is available, following safeguarding and recruitment checks.
