Central YMCA has an exciting opportunity for a Study Programme Tutor to design, plan and deliver inspirational programmes of learning that engage and motivate young people to progress and achieve.

About the Role
As the Study Programme Tutor your role is to:

To be responsible for managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for a group of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of the course and accreditation.

To teach across a range of qualification types and levels, from Entry to Level 2 as a minimum, in day, evening and independent learning sessions.

Deliver learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications as well as qualifications in English and maths up to GCSE level.

Provide our learners with learning opportunities that aspire to outstanding and adhere to those standards within the common inspection framework.

About You

As the Study Programme Tutor, you will need the following:

PGCE/Cert in Education or L5 Diploma in Education and Training

Qualified to Level 3 in your own vocational specialist subject

Experience of teaching young people ages between 14 – 16 and 16-19

Experience of working with individuals with varying behaviour management needs and barriers to learning

Skills in the planning and delivering programmes that meet individual learner needs within a group setting and using individual learning plans to maximise learner progress and success

Experience of embedding and underpinning employability, social skills, English and maths into teaching, learning and assessment activities

Experience of embedding and underpinning equality and diversity into teaching, learning and assessment activities

Experience of teaching maths and/or English up to L2 and/or GCSE

Experience of designing, planning, tracking and monitoring the impact on the individual of teaching, learning and assessment to meet the Ofsted standards
