What does a truly learner-centred training environment look like? You’re about to find out. At JTL, our success as one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship providers is driven by some of the best professionals in the industry – people, like you, who know what it takes to harness the potential of learners at every stage of their journey.
So join us as a Learning Support Tutor and we can promise you a career of significant variety and influence.
Your role? To ensure that learners with additional learning needs and significant skills gaps are supported at every stage of their journey. This will involve more than preparing and delivering engaging teaching and learning sessions for Functional Skills English, Maths and IT. You will monitor and track individual performance, maintain accurate records and work closely with the learner’s wider support network to ensure a collaborative and joined-up approach.
Educated to degree level and with a minimum level 5 teaching qualification, you will ideally hold a current SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate or have completed a level 7 PG access assessor course. Your proven experience in a learning support/disability role - preferably in FE - must be supported by a good working knowledge of related legislation and excellent IT and communication skills. A driving licence is also essential. We would also be willing to support the right person to achieve level 7.
Does that sound like you? Then we can promise you an attractive salary, benefits including a pension, company car and life assurance, ongoing development and a genuinely supportive working environment.
We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment in conjunction with the requirements of the Prevent Duty and the positive promotion of modern British values.
