This role is term time only, based on 20 hours per week Monday to Thursday (Mon-10:15-17:15 , Tues-12:30-17;30, Wed-12:30-17;00 , Thurs-12-15:30)
The School Sport team plays a key part in enabling children to access high quality physical activity provision in a fun and engaging way. The School Sport team works closely with a number of education establishments across London, delivering PE sessions, providing teacher training and various health related events.
Please note: Candidates without a Level 2 Coaching qualification will not be considered
-Experienced in planning and delivering physical activity sessions for children
-Sports coaching/teaching/ qualification or equivalent to Level 2 coaching (minimum of one level 2 qualification)
-Ideally (not essential) you will be a qualified coach in either Gymnastics, Classical Dance, Ballet, or Martial Arts.
-Motivated by seeing children develop through sport
-Up to date on current developments in teaching/coaching/activity guidelines
-A team player and have strong interpersonal skills.
-Able to formally assess children’s development, feeding back to the partner schools when required.
