About the Role
Learning Support Specialist – 42 Weeks Term Time Only
The successful candidate will contribute to achieving excellence in supporting students through innovative and excellent practice. You will be expected to assess and support students of all ages with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities (moderate learning difficulties, physical/mental/ sensory/specific learning difficulties/disabilities to name a few).
The purpose of support is to remove barriers to learning and access, improving participation and achievements, fostering confidence and independence among students. You will be expected to carry out a detailed assessment of need and make recommendations for both teaching and support staff to meet the needs of students effectively. You will offer effective and consistent support to students at all levels, enabling them to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will be educated to at least Level 3 or above ( in relevant field) and have proven relevant experience of supporting students in an educational setting coupled with knowledge and understanding of disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
