PTS Training Academy is a vibrant and highly successful Training Provider based in Northampton. We offer a range of different learning pathways into employment across occupational sectors.

Due to the expansion of the business PTS Training Academy have an exciting opportunity for Skills Coach/ Assessors nationwide.

They will support the delivery team to ensure they are up to date, competent and confident to drive learners to achievement, whilst ensuring SLA and internal strategies are met.

Support will be provided through support visits, both face to face and virtually, through sampling feedback and observations of practice.

PTS Training Academy are looking to appoint in the following areas:

• Human Resource Support
• Performance Manufacturing Operations
• Business Administration
• Team Leading

The post holders must be committed to providing the highest standard in teaching, learning and assessment.

Purpose

The post holder is to appraise and support teaching, learning and assessment delivery to ensure it is effective, consistent, current, sufficient, valid and reliable.

They will support the delivery team to ensure they are up to date, competent and confident to drive learners to achievement, whilst ensuring SLA and internal strategies are met.

Support will be provided through support visits, both face to face and virtually, thought sampling feedback and observations of practice.

Key activities and responsibilities

To be fully conversant with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework 2019 ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
To ensure that all standards are met in line with the appropriate regulatory organisations expectations
To maintain Knowledge pool's IQA sampling strategy through a range of activities and ensure relevant documents are up-to-date, accurate and reliable
To attend Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations events within your SME remit and support approvals, sampling visits, audits and appeals.
To support internal inspection audit activities to review progress against internal and external quality framework.
To maintain a caseload of skilled and competent workplace assessors and skill coaches
To support the workplace assessors and workplace skill coaches with the delivery of English, maths, and digital skills and invigilation if applicable
To support managers and workplace assessors and skill coaches to ensure timely completion of programmes and maintain the 'at risk' report and action plan for your allocated sector skill area
To support stakeholders as required with client and learner queries, interviews, new business and performance management
To carry out observations of teaching, learning and assessment and promoting outstanding TLA through focused action planning and support

Skills Coach/ Assessors/IQA Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills

• Either hold D 32/33/34 or A1/ V1 or TAQA 3/4 qualifications, or working towards TAQA 4
• Either hold or working towards a recognised teaching/training qualification i.e. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Level 3 Education and Training Award or Certificate of Education
• Essential: Functional Skills in maths and English at a minimum of Level 2
• A proven track record in internal quality assurance
• Occupational experience and current knowledge of the relevant sector(s)
• Ability to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of apprenticeships - frameworks and standards
• Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training record

We operate nationally from our Head Office and Training complex in Northampton, and other sites across the UK, therefore the ability to travel between sites may be required. Therefore a full, clean driving licence and access to a car is essential.

The Post Holder will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS screening prior to appointment.
