The Role:

Our Digital provision is closely involved with regional employers who shape and support our curriculum and staff with facilities including;

• Programming Labs
• CISCO Academy
• Hardware workshop
• Digital Design studios.
• Creative teaching spaces for Fashion Design, graphics, games art, digital & 3D design, pottery, art, photography and textiles.
• Media suite, complete with animation and recording studios; radio and TV studio.
• Learning classrooms and open plan learning spaces for over 500 students
• Digital learning areas and practical computer and programming labs

Our pioneering facility ensures students are both academically and practically prepared for work within technically and creatively driven industries. Our Digital courses on offer 16-19 & 24+ routes in infrastructure application development and web development. We are planning to run all pathways of T Levels and will be delivering these employer led qualifications from 2021 our digital team are being fully supported with training and industry updating to deliver these new generation qualifications.

We are looking for a tutor who can deliver modules in infrastructure and networking at level 2 & 3. They will be a conscientious, inclusive, innovative and highly motivated individual to deliver inspirational teaching & learning on our Digital Technology courses at level 2 and 3. The successful applicant will join our computing team and will be responsible for the delivery of our computing curriculum delivering modules on topics such as Networking fundamentals, Project management, Managing networks, Network administration, and further generic modules such as Database design/administration, Web page design/management or Computer forensics/cyber security and Cloud.

You should have the following:-
With a relevant degree and a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this, you will have a broad range of skills relating to computing but with an emphasis on networking and infrastructure. Experience of UCAS and supporting students through courses and study programmes is desirable. You will also be closely involved with our CISCO academy and so instructor qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Preferably with experience in the IT industry. You will have good organisational skills and be able to advise and support students through their career development and planning. Ongoing staff training and support is available as part of our professional development for curriculum staff. We are currently working with Tom Sherrington on a Teach to Distinction programme of training for Teaching and Learning.
