Experienced in apprenticeships?

We are looking for enthusiastic Apprenticeship Coaches to join our friendly team supporting the learning journey of our apprentices at British Airways.

Our apprenticeships provide practical training in a real-world environment, setting individuals on the path to becoming skilled aviation industry professionals.

We offer a variety of programmes across our business with this role predominantly supporting Cabin Crew apprentices. Our Apprenticeship Coaches work closely with their mentees to onboard, conduct initial and ongoing assessments and design positive Individual Learning Plans. Our programmes have scheduled learning interventions and as a coach you will ensure milestones are achieved and accurately recorded. This role is key to ensure that the apprentice journey is seamless, individualised and compliant to ESFA and Ofsted requirements.

In addition to supporting the apprentices, this role involves working in collaboration with the Global Learning Academy (GLA) Crew Learning team, and Inflight Customer Experience (IFCE).

The role will include;

Developing and managing Individual Learning Plans and group profiles
Conducting regular on programme reviews, target setting and programme coordination
Supporting apprentice’s English and Maths (Functional Skills) learning events (in conjunction with external supplier)
Accountability for the pastoral care of learners, taking appropriate actions when required
Evaluating progress through data obtained from the e-portfolio system, reporting, tracking and monitoring.
Maintaining communication with our colleagues to report progress and escalate issues/concerns
Delivery of learning to apprentices on areas such as Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and Work Skills
Ambassadors for British Airways and our apprenticeship programmes, supporting our early talent initiatives e.g. careers fairs

This is an operational role with a shift pattern over 7 days (rolling 6 days on 3 days off) where you may be required to be available for shifts between 0700 – 1900. This is a dual position based at both London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW).

To be successful in this post you will have experience working in the field of apprenticeships, using apprenticeship standards and ideally e-portfolios and be effective at implementing and evaluating learning interventions.

You’ll be a member of a supportive team where advice and excellent working practices can be shared and great opportunities exist to further your career.
