Start date: September 2020
Priestley College in Warrington offers a diverse range of A-level and vocational courses to over 2,000 students. It’s an inclusive college with an excellent track record and reputation where students consistently achieve great results. The College is an integral part of the community, playing an influential role in raising attainment across all age groups. Priestley College is a founding member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT), which currently consists of nine schools and the college, working together to deliver a cohesive education pathway from primary through to sixth form.
Our new Principal will inherit an excellent foundation on which to build for the future: an experienced and committed staff group; a college estate that is well-maintained and fit for purpose; and a sound financial status that sees us looking forward with confidence and ambition. Our belief is that the College can be outstanding in all aspects of its provision, and the new Principal will play a key leadership role in harnessing the talent and capacity from within the College and across the Trust to make this happen.
We expect that you will already have significant senior management experience in a further education or secondary school setting, and that you can bring a highly developed understanding of the current and emerging opportunities and challenges in the sector. This professional expertise should be complemented by your personal attributes and leadership style – combining commitment, drive, enthusiasm and resilience, and an understanding of how to get the very best out of others.
