Job Title: Group HR Advisor

Location: Northampton with travel

Scope Service Group is a shared service function for PTS Training Academy, Lisa Lashes School of Music, AOFAQ, Asts Rail and G5 Rail. The company has a current head count of approximately 130 staff and the shared service function provides all the back office support in finance, human resources and marketing for the group.

Due to the growth within the group we are currently seeking a Group HR Advisor reporting to the Group HR Manager. The HR advisor will be the first port of call for all recruitment aspects within the group which includes advising line managers on the most effective ways to fill the vacancy or, may consist of owning the whole recruitment process.

Assisting with employee relations and performance management is also a vital part of this role, from disciplinary to grievance processes and performance to capability assessments. Overall, the Group HR advisor is responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuring all policies are consistent and that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.

Your responsibilities as the Group HR advisor will include:
. Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
. Reviewing and updating job description
. Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
. Training hiring managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques
. Assisting with and developing recruitment campaign
. Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicant
. Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates
. Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes
. Using HR information systems to access, input and compile data
. Identifying development needs
. Suggesting new HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations (e.g. ATS and HRIS software)
. Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with the current legislation
. Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
. Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
. Supporting the HR manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
. Assisting with and developing on any recruitment campaigns
. Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives
. Partnering with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing and staff management
