PTS training academy are currently experiencing unprecedented growth having secured substantial Levy training contracts through large organisations across a range of sectors. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching and learning manager to join us PTS Training Academy. The postholder will manage the improvement and enhancement of our Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategy by providing tailored support to our delivery staff and teams.
You will undertake teaching and learning observations, coaching, staff training sessions and related project work. You will work with other Teaching, Learning and Assessment Observers and Coaches alongside the quality team to ensure the effective embedding and standardisation of high standards and practices across the group.
With substantial, successful experience of teaching and assessment across classroom and apprenticeship-based environments, you will support our strategy in becoming an outstanding training provider and gain a reputation in delivering high quality employer led training programmes.
You will undertake teaching and learning observations, learning walks, and curriculum audits; supporting staff in embedding high standards of practice across a wide range of programmes through 121 coaching and group training workshops. You will be responsible for developing a positive learning culture, which enables staff to be professionally reflective, adaptive and resilient
Fundamental to observations is the supporting delivery teams through the auditing of curriculum related activities resulting in the setting of robust action plans which are monitored to achieve successful outcomes and practice; including learner feedback to ensure high standards which meet ESFA/Ofsted requirements.
You will work closely with Training Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the curriculum area, continuous quality improvement, the consistent application of policies and procedures whilst supporting fundamental British values, Equality and Diversity resulting in positive outcomes for students.
You should be able to demonstrate effective teaching techniques and understanding of learning contexts across a varying range of training programmes and disciplines. You may need to undertake some teaching to maintain your professional practice as part of your role.
You should have a teaching qualification at a minimum of Level 5, e.g. DTLLS, Cert Ed or PGCE and minimum level 3 or equivalent level subject qualification. You should also have English and Maths at Level 2 and ideally an assessor and IQA qualification.
