Do you have experience of working with adults/young people in a teaching or training role delivering apprenticeship programmes or outstanding training programmes? If yes, we want to hear from you.
We have a fantastic opportunity within the Luton Adult Learning department where you will plan, deliver and assess on work based learning programmes. You will be supporting the management of and contribute in the development and delivery of Apprenticeship programmes, embedding Functional Skills and behaviours where appropriate.
Teaching commitments will be 800 hours per annum based on a 37hr working week contract. The teaching timetable will depend on curriculum responsibilities and will vary throughout the year dependent on service needs.
This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
Our ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate with adult learners with empathy and understanding. You must be able to converse with ease with members of the public and provide effective help or advice in accurate and fluent spoken English.
A passion for teaching is essential, as you will teach on work based learning programmes and support the delivery and management of Adult Skills/Community Learning Programmes.
You will support the maintenance, development and improvement of key learning and training opportunities to meet local needs, local and national targets.
You must hold a minimum Level 4 or above teaching qualification, or be working towards. A minimum of Level 3 qualification in area of specialism. Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1) or be working towards. A minimum Level 2 English and maths qualification or willingness to work towards.
