RHACC is a Specialist Designated Institution for Adult Learning, providing a varied course offer to support the lifelong learning goals of adults. With daytime, evening, weekend and residential courses across two main campuses and in outreach venues, RHACC is able to meet a broad range of needs, and creates pathways to work and well-being.
We are looking for a Maths Tutor (variable hours) to join our foundation learning school on a sessional basis. As well as a Degree which shows that you have the knowledge to teach Maths, we expect applicants to hold a full teaching qualification such as the Cert Ed or the equivalent along with QTLS. Previous teaching experience within an adult setting would be an advantage.
We would expect you to be able to teach up to GCSE HT level and Functional Skills level 2 but there may also be work available Level 1. Courses are scheduled on weekdays and some evenings. The college is based in Richmond, at the Parkshot centre and the bulk of the work will be available on this site. However, work may also be available in our Surbiton site – Hillcroft College.
As a part-time tutor you will be expected to complete the administration associated with these courses. You will also be expected to attend team meetings at least once a term during an academic year. So if you are knowledgeable, dependable and interested in this work and have relevant qualifications and experience, please do apply for this role.
Please note, we may take on a number of staff with different specialisms and abilities.
