As a result of the success of last year and a review of the curriculum within the college which has resulted in a growth of the Supported Internship programme, South Staffordshire College have a new opportunity for individuals who are interested in working with young people with learning difficulties supporting the young people who undertake an internship in the work placement and ultimately into paid employment.
The Junior Job Coach role will be split between working at their base campus, being out in the community looking to increase our employer/organisation partnership cohort and attending the current work placement(s) with the learners.
The Junior Job Coach will be responsible for the overall welfare and education of the learners when on site and play an integral role in building up the relationships with the personnel at the work placement as well as the interns and parents/guardians
The Junior Job Coach will support the Senior Job Coach/Curriculum Manager: SEND in developing the employability/careers offer for young people with SEND at South Staffordshire College and supporting the local communities to break down barriers/assumptions surrounding disabilities.
