CALAT are currently looking for enthusiastic ICT tutors to join our growing Family Learning team. Providing ICT classes in community settings, our tutors work with parents to help develop their ICT skills which will enable them to engage with ICT to support their children and to use digital skills to support their lives.

You will have experience of working with adults who may need encouragement to engage in learning and be able to teach ICT from beginners to a level 2 qualification.

As the majority of our courses take place in community venues and schools across Croydon, the role offers a varied and stimulating working environment, for a supportive and friendly department.

As a condition of employment all applicants should be qualified in their subject with a teaching or training qualification, Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent as a minimum. Teachers without relevant teacher training qualifications or qualified teacher status (DTLLS or equivalent) will be required to work towards the relevant qualifications.

Rate of pay is £24.84 (incl. holiday pay) per hour to £31.19 (incl. holiday pay) per hour, depending on teaching qualification and experience. Tutors holding a Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or equivalent start at £26.10 (incl. holiday pay) per hour.
