Independent Schools Association
The Independent Schools Association (ISA) is one of the largest Membership Associations for independent school headteachers. A registered charity and private company, its membership is 530+ and growing with a waiting list of prospective members. The ISA has experienced the largest growth of any association over the last ten years, both in terms of its size and the service it provides to Members and their schools. ISA provides its members with expert professional support, high-quality training opportunities for them and their staff, as well as a wide range of sporting, artistic and cultural activities and competitions to the pupils in their member schools. Its membership ranges from pre-prep to secondary and all-through schools, specialist sixth-forms, SEN institutions to performing arts colleges. Members are balanced between proprietorial and charitable trust schools.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) sits on the ISA Board and plays a pivotal and integral role in ensuring the successful operation of ISA, and the delivery of its aims through working closely with its partners. Leading and managing the executive staff and working closely with ISA’s Members, the CEO ensures that the Association is delivering high-quality services to its Members, that its public profile remains positive, is further developed, and that it continues to work effectively with other organisations that share similar values and aims. In carrying out this role, the CEO will understand and appreciate the importance of children in all that the ISA does.
