Barnet and Southgate College is a highly successful Further Education college with around 16,000 students of all ages from 16 years upwards.

POST TITLE: Employee Engagement / Internal Communications Advisor

SALARY: Support Scale SO1 £17,419.20 to £18,483.60 inclusive of London Weighting (0.6 fte pro rata)

HOURS: Part Time - 21.6 hours per week, 52 week per year

LOCATION: Southgate, but may be required to travel to any one of our main campuses

This post will play a key role in the development and implementation of our internal communication and engagement strategy. Your work will continue to shape how we engage with our staff and help us consistently reinforce the College’s culture, values and associated behaviours.

The role will report to the Head of Organisational Development and is an ideal opportunity for an internal communications professional who is keen to further their development working within a small but experienced team.

Using your knowledge of internal communications, you will both identify effective channels and continue to further improve communication and engagement. You will use established and develop new methods including our weekly briefing, monthly newsletter, newly formed staff consultative committee, staff forums and employee surveys, preparing and delivering actions plans as appropriate to address feedback received. You will also be responsible for promoting the college values and further embedding these within College life.
