Salary Range: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
Full-time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Permanent

Writtle University College has over 125 years of experience in delivering vocational and technical education for the land based and rural business sectors. Following progression of the current role holder to a senior role elsewhere in the education sector, we are now seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to the role of Director of FE.
We have a highly experienced FE team, specialists in their chosen fields, who deliver strong outcomes across our provision. We are looking for someone to lead and further develop this team, creatively enhance our curriculum delivery and oversee portfolio development. This is a pivotal role within the University College, ensuring that all FE learners receive high quality educational experience, within a safe and supportive environment.
Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, you will be responsible for the strategic management, development and performance of all aspects of the Further Education curriculum, ensuring that quality assurance and quality improvement measures achieve the best possible outcome for our students.
You will re-enforce a ‘learner first’ culture, ensuring that learning, teaching, assessment and the overall Further Education student experience are of the highest possible quality. Fostering positive relationships across the University College at all levels and with our industry stakeholders and partners, you will ensure that the planning, development and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum is efficient, effective and sustainable, supporting our long-term goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to play a key role in ensuring the quality of the student experience within FE, continuing to raise standards, and enhancing further the University College’s reputation for high-quality specialist education and training.
To succeed in your application, it is essential that you have a proven track record of managing and leading on quality and curriculum within a Further Education institution, and are educated to at least degree level, or equivalent.
