Group Principal and Chief Executive

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is a young college with a great pedigree. Formed following a merger between Strode’s Sixth Form College and East Berkshire College in 2017, the college has a turnover of £23m, three main campuses, employs over 600 staff and serves over 6,000 students. We provide education for our local communities including essential adult education, higher education, apprenticeships and full time 16-18. Following a successful merger and consolidation work, the current postholder is moving on and we are now seeking our next leader who will be instrumental in driving the college forward on the next stage of its journey.

This is a truly exciting time to join the college- we offer a great place to live and work and our local communities and businesses are ambitious and growing fast. We serve our vibrant and diverse communities in Surrey, Berkshire and Greater London through the provision of excellent sixth form education at Windsor College and Strode’s College (Egham), and innovative technical education at Langley College. On our doorstep is Slough, a forward-thinking town with the highest concentration of corporate headquarters outside London, excellent transport links and the beautiful and historic surroundings of Windsor and Surrey. The Board is seeking a dynamic leader to work with them to continue the college’s successes with existing partners such as Heathrow and Slough Trading Estate whilst identifying new opportunities and establishing our reputation on a national level.

The successful candidate will be passionate about giving our students the best possible education and will have a strong track record of delivering impressive results with evidence of effective high-level relationship building. A strong communicator, you will possess the gravitas and ability to engage and influence all stakeholders, and understand the key strategic drivers required to ensure organisational success.

You may already be operating at Chief Executive level or you may be an aspiring senior leader ready for your next opportunity. Either way, you should have an unwavering belief in the importance of education and training and an ability to continually balance the needs of learners, businesses and the local community.
