Bradford College has an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Department who will be responsible for the new Essential Skills English and Maths Department. In this vital role you will be fundamental in achieving the College's commitment to transform students' lives.

The successful candidate

We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced education leader, who shows great skills in the management and delivery of the English and Maths curriculum, for our students on study programmes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of leading within an inspiring and creative educational environment. The role involves liaising with the vocational Heads of Departments to plan the delivery of the English and Maths provision, allocating resources to meet the needs of the students, working with the English and Maths tutors to deliver outstanding learning. You will be knowledgeable and experienced in the delivery of large provision, managing and leading team leaders and teaching staff in their work across the whole College.

Degree qualified and with a recognised teaching qualification you will have a track record of successful leadership in an educational environment.

You will be adept at delivering results in a cross college environment as well as being highly motivated, able to work on your own initiative and be solution oriented. You will be capable of managing a high workload and be able to prioritise and delegate effectively in order to ensure all deadlines are met.

This post requires a proactive and self-motivated individual, who can operate in a flexible manner to join us as an integral part of our leadership team.
