We are looking for an inspiring and entrepreneurial individual who shares our passion for empowering women and is ready to make their mark on the landscape of the Liverpool city region, for the betterment of women, their families and the communities in which they live.
Blackburne House is a Liverpool based social enterprise that exists to support women to live into their potential by offering education that leads to a career. With a core focus on education, we offer a wide range of nationally recognised courses and qualifications, particularly in sectors in which women are still under-represented. Outstanding at Ofsted, we are one of a few colleges in the UK, and the only “Outstanding Provider” in the city region, achieving such standards for a wide range of learners, many of whom have faced or continue to face significant challenges. Set in a Grade II listed building in the heart of Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter, we enable women to learn and grown in a safe environment.
We are an ambitious Board and Staff team aspiring to ensure women have access to education that leads to careers and enterprise locally, nationally and internationally. We are looking to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic individual who shares our passion for empowering women and can lead us in delivering our vision to developing and supporting strong, independent and inspirational women. The ideal candidate will have experience of the education, social enterprise and charity sectors and have the ambition to carry forward the legacy of this award-winning iconic organisation in a digital age.
Our Chief Executive will work closely with the Chair and the Board to provide leadership that delivers the short, medium and longer term sustainability, growth and diversification of the Group. An entrepreneurial, creative and strategic thinker you will embody our values to inspire our colleagues, stakeholders and students to commit to positive action for women.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to make your mark on the landscape of the Liverpool city region, for the betterment of women, their families and the communities in which they live.
