Information about the school

Staplehurst School is a large community school, with approximately 400 pupils. It is situated between Maidstone and Cranbrook in a rural area of Kent and our origins go back many years.

We have sustained academic improvement and an excellent, enthusiastic team of staff. We have superb, beautiful and spacious grounds, two large sports halls, ICT suite, music room and library. We offer wrap around care to children from 7.30am to 6.30pm. Coming soon will be a newly updated Early Years outside space.

Having a strong connection with the community (many of our parents attended the school themselves) we also pride ourselves on being an integral part of the everyday lives of people in the village. It is this community support, together with the caring and commitment from staff, which contributes to the wellbeing of the children.

The Governing Body, staff and parents are continuously working together to drive forward school initiatives in numeracy and literacy to provide an environment where learning is at the heart of all we do; our aim is to ensure each child reaches their full potential. At Staplehurst School children definitely come first!
