Purpose of the role:
All posts at the WEA will support the vision for "A better world - equal, democratic and just; through adult education the WEA challenges and inspires individuals, communities and society."
Building Better Opportunities, Working Well project aims to improve the life chances and employability of adults from Carlisle and Eden. The post holder will be a key member of the core team, working with colleagues from across different organisations to support the development and deployment of a fresh approach to `employability` as defined in the project plan.
This post is jointly funded by The Community Fund and European Social Fund and will work solely on the BBO project.
This is fixed term until June 2020
Key areas of responsibility:
The post-holder will co-ordinate a caseload of participants in the Carlisle area and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment through personal development, which will include access to existing and new services in relation to training, employment and enterprise.
They will ensure that outputs and outcomes are met according to contract requirements.
