Motivating and inspiring young people to learn and achieve in the workplace is vital to the future success of the City of London. Our Adult Skills and Education team is an experienced apprenticeship provider, skilled in understanding the needs of employers and apprentices. We see apprenticeships as an important route to further education and future sustainable employment, and give our tutors all the support they need to deliver great experiences.
As an Apprenticeship Tutor and Assessor specialising in Business Administration, Customer Service, Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT) and employability skills, you’ll be right at the heart of this learning city. As well as teaching, assessing and supporting students in your specialist subjects, you’ll ensure we maintain our high standards of training and employment experience. That means monitoring the progress of individual learners as well as maintaining good relationships with their host employers.
You’ll be a vital link between learners and employers, so recent substantial experience in the service sector and business administration is essential. You must also have recognised teaching and assessor qualifications, inlcuding the ability to produce individual learning plans. Able to give informed feedback and coaching you’ll be passionate about helping young people to learn and thrive in the workplace. You’re also a great communicator with strong IT skills and a good knowledge of Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship frameworks. Some evening and weekend work may be needed and a DBS check is required.
Closing date: 12 noon, 20 September 2019.
