We have a new and exciting role for a Project Manager - Education Projects.

Key areas of responsibility:

The post holder will be responsible for the project management of a range of education projects across the WEA, as assigned by the Programme Manager (Education).

The post holder will work closely with Education Delivery Managers, Senior Project Managers, PMO and other colleagues to ensure successful delivery of allocated projects.

The post is part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) and will be supported by the PMO team.

About you:

Prince 2 Practitioner or similar project management qualification i.e. APMP

Contract and project management ideally linked to adult and community learning

Experienced in risk and issue management and mitigation

Experienced in gathering and understanding business and project requirements and translating these to solutions, tangible outputs and benefits

Experienced in using technology to help drive change and continuous improvement
Experience of managing or supporting across a portfolio of projects

Experience of setting and managing project budgets

Experienced in developing effective implementation and communication strategies and plans

Experience of matrix line management and working

Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of an organisation

Good and accurate ICT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database and email) and literate in MS Office applications

Knowledge of project management best practice approach and tools

High level of written and oral communication skills

Influencing skills

High level of agile and prioritisation skills

High level of organisation skills
