Basingstoke College of Technology is a welcoming and professional FE college in north Hampshire. We are looking for a lecturer/Assessor to join our enthusiastic colleagues in our Construction and Built Environment team.
The successful candidate will be primarily teaching and assessing across a range of courses within Construction and the Built Environment. An ability to be adaptable and deliver skills across a range of trades including Carpentry and/or Construction and Built Environment up to level 3. A level 3 trade qualification e.g. Carpentry or a Level 4/HNC would be a benefit to enable utilisation in a specific trade area to assist in delivery of level 2 and level3 apprenticeship programmes.
You will need to be a highly motivated team player and have the skills, drive and enthusiasm to deliver and maintain the highest standards on the courses. The successful candidate will need to have a high level of knowledge and good experience of their trade, along with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. You will be committed to developing learners’ skills and technical understanding. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training will be given. An assessor award is also desirable.
