We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Learning and Assessment Manager: Life Skills, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health

With substantial, successful experience of teaching and assessment in an adult learning environment and with relevant specialist subject expertise, you will lead and line manage a team of teachers and support staff in the planning, delivery and evaluation of courses and activities. You will work closely with your Curriculum Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the curriculum area, continuous quality improvement, the consistent application of AEW policies and procedures and securing of positive outcomes for students. You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of adult learning contexts and the motivations and barriers facing students. The focus for both roles will include preparing students for their next steps which may be towards further learning, volunteering or employment. Both roles carry a teaching commitment.

You should have a teaching qualification at a minimum of Level 5, e.g. DTLLS, Cert Ed or PGCE and academic staff will hold a degree or equivalent level subject qualification. You should also have English and Maths at Level 2.

For this role you should have experience of developing challenging provision for students at foundation level and those with learning disabilities and or mental health needs.
