The Faculty of Skills & Employability is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to deliver a diverse and challenging programme relevant to individual learning goals for SEND students studying on Preparing for Adulthood and Preparing for Work.

This programme tutor will be responsible for developing the skills required for students to present themselves confidently and articulately within the community and the workplace. The role will involve helping students to develop independent skills, self-awareness in terms of communication and vocal skills, body language and assertiveness.

The post-holder will develop students through a variety of college and community activities. The successful candidate will have some experience of working with young people with learning needs and disabilities. Experience of developing young people in practical situations, using role-play, vocal techniques and physical skills will be an advantage. Previous experience of teaching English or Maths and employability skills will also be helpful.

The role will require you to embed and work to the college’s values; working with Integrity, having Ambition to help our learners succeed and being Inclusive to learners and colleagues alike.
