Teaching and Learning Manager

£26,999 - £33,799 pro rata
6-month fixed-term Contract, 18.5 hours per week
A vacancy has arisen for a Teaching and Learning Manager who specialises in Art, Craft, Media and, or, Hospitality.
The role involves managing tutors to deliver courses across a range of subjects in the above categories, across Birmingham.
In addition to programme planning and managing tutors, the role is primarily concerned with supporting the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment, internal quality assurance, and ensuring that provision is well resourced and meets the diverse needs (including employment), of learners.
Travel between Birmingham’s Adult Education Centres will be required, and travel expenses can be claimed according to BCC Approved Mileage Scheme. The successful applicant will be flexible as some evening and Saturday work is required.
You will need to have a teaching qualification at Level 5, a relevant subject qualification at Level 3 (at least), preferable Level 4, as well as English and maths qualifications at Level 2.
Considerable experience of teaching relevant subjects to adults is essential.
