Training & Development Manager
Location: National Role, home based with travel
What marks out a great organisation from a mediocre one? Resources and high quality services play their part, of course - but what really makes the difference is the quality of your people and the passion they bring to their work.
And at JTL, we’ve got some of the most talented and motivated people in the business.
So join us as Training & Development Manager and you will play a defining role in harnessing the potential of a team that has already put us the forefront of the apprenticeship training industry.
Your challenge? To research, design, deliver and manage a comprehensive training and development service to JTL. In addition to leading your team from the front, you will use your expertise to identify the current and future training needs of everyone who works at JTL. This will include working closely with line managers, gathering key training data, conducting job analyses and developing solutions that support our operational and strategic goals. Driving continuous improvement in everything we do will be a key part of your role - and we will also rely on you to manage the training budget and take responsibility for all IIP-related activities
You are likely to be a graduate or Chartered CIPD member with significant learning and development experience including extensive training delivery. This will ideally be supported by BPS Level A or B, VLE material design and Assessor or Internal Verification qualifications. Along with proven ability to manage and lead a remote team, you must demonstrate first-class communication, planning and time-management skills. You will certainly be familiar with learning management systems and have strong computer and database management skills. A good working knowledge of the IIP standard is also required. Add to that your effective writing and record-keeping abilities, and you will quickly establish yourself as a key member of our senior management team.
In return, we can promise you an attractive salary, benefits including a pension and life insurance, ongoing professional development and tremendous control over your own schedule.
